People Participation

What?

Quite simply, People Participation is about helping our service users and their carers to have a say in how we run the Trust. But more than that, it is also about working together so that we can offer a better service for all.

Why?

The way the Trust operates means that we need to be accountable to the people we work with, particularly service users, their cares and our local communities. More than this though it is one of the Trust's values and we find that involving service users and carers enriches our services. As well as helping to improve services, people who have worked with us have told us that the experience of getting involved can also form a valuable part of their recovery.

Does it make a difference?

The views of our service users and carers are taken directly to our Chair and Chief Executive through the Public Participation Committee and through this we are able to have a direct impact.

How do we plan to do this?
