The Citizens Advice Bureau can provide help to solve various problems, including debt and consumer issues, benefits, housing, legal matters, employment, and immigration. Advisers can help fill out forms, write letters, negotiate with creditors and represent clients at court or tribunal.

If you are experiencing physical attacks, emotional abuse, harassment, threats or financial abuse, the One Stop Shop in Stratford can provide advice, help and support.

This organisation provides legal advice and representation in all immigration and asylum matters. They represent and advocate on behalf of asylum seekers and vulnerable clients, including unaccompanied children, clients suffering from mental health problems, and those subject to persecution in their homeland.

The Law Centre provides specialist legal advice in the areas of Welfare Benefits, Education, Housing and Immigration. They run general legal advice sessions on Monday evenings; and conduct Somali outreach sessions.

Toynbee Hall runs an employment rights session on Mondays; on Tuesday evenings they run a debt and housing advice session with approximately ten lawyers dealing with housing issues such as overcrowding, disrepair, rent arrears and noisy neighbours; on Wednesday evenings up to 30 lawyers each week give general legal advice on topics such as immigration, court summons, etc; on Saturdays, they run a session for women on the issues of forced marriages, domestic violence, immigration and family.
