Early Intervention Service (EIS)

The EIS work with clients experiencing a first episode of psychosis, within one year of their first contact with secondary mental health services. All adult mental health service users fitting the criteria are identified and, with consent from their psychiatrist, intensive efforts are made to engage all appropriate individuals.

Clients and their families are offered intensive packages of psychosocial interventions aimed at accelerating recovery and social inclucison. Young people aged 16 to 30 with a diagnosis of early onset psychosis who are experiencing the first episode of psychosis are eligible.

Off Centre - Hackney Young People's Counselling Service

This organisation works in partnership with local agencies and local young people with mental health needs to ensure that  they have access to a wide range of high quality services to suit their needs.

Off Centre provides counselling and information services for people aged over 28 years, enabling young people with mental health needs to access and sustain education, training and employment. This is a specialist service for young people offering individual counselling, group work, creative therapy for those with or without learning difficulties and some housing advice.

Theyprovide one to one counselling, one to one creative arts therapy, group counselling, general group work, general advice and information, drop-in and appointment sessions for housing sexual health and careers.

Brook Advisory Service

Brook runs a unique network of 17 centres across the UK, delivering innovative services, designed with the help of young people. Brook runs a national Young People's Information Service, which acts as a signposting service to inform young people about health topics such as contraception, pregnancy testing, mental health services, etc.
