A range of day and evening sexual health clinics are available across Newham for men and women of all ages. All methods of contraception are available, including free condoms and emergency contraception.

Shine - sexual health services for people 24 years or under

Shine is a friendly, free and fully confidential service for young people aged 24 and under, including under 16s and those who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and/or transgender. Advice, information and support is available on contraception, sexual health, pregnancy, sexuality and relationships.

  • C-Card. A card that allows young people aged 13-24 years living, studying and, or, working in Newham to get free condoms once a month

You Test - Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screening for 24s and under

You Test is Newham's Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screening programme for 24s and under.

If you have had unprotected sex you have put yourself at risk of these sexually transmitted infections. You may not know you have them because there are often no symptoms. It is easy to treat but if you don't get the treatment they can cause problems, including infertility.

If you are under 24 get a test kit at:

  • Visit www.checkurself.org.uk to get one sent to you at home.
Free HIV rapid test

With an HIV rapid test you do not need to make an appointment and your results are available in one hour. The HIV rapid test service is free, confidential and available from St. John’s Church, Broadway, Stratford E15 1NG on Mondays from 6pm to 9pm.
