Physiotherapy service for children
The Children’s Physiotherapy Team are based at West Ham Lane Health Centre. We work closely with parents, carers and school staff to teach the skills required to manage a child’s physical needs.
We can help children with all sorts of physical difficulties; children we see may have trouble with movement, tight or weak muscles or poor balance.
Anyone can refer to us if the child is under 16 years old and lives or goes to school in Newham. Referrals should be in writing and include the child’s name, address, date of birth, phone number, school and your concerns about the child. If you are not the parent please make sure you obtain parental consent first and inform us of that in the letter.
The first appointment will usually be at West Ham Lane Health Centre or Appleby Health Centre. After this we aim to see your child in the best place for them.
