Annual Plan 2012/13
Summary of Annual Plan 2012/13

Our five year service strategy aims to ensure continuous and sustained service improvement in all areas and will develop more community-based services that promote independence, choice and recovery.

We will work with statutory and non-statutory partners to address social inclusion and health inequalities to improve health and well-being.

We aim to develop more responsive services to primary care partners and work alongside GPs to deliver improved care pathways between primary care and secondary mental health services.

By continuing to work in partnership with our service users, carers and families, we aim to continually improve our services and provide our communities in East London with the highest quality mental health services.

Our objectives are to:
  • Ensure the meaningful participation of service users, their carers and families in the shaping, delivery and evaluation of their care and the future direction of our services
  • Improve the quality of our community and inpatient services
  • Develop a highly skilled, motivated and culturally capable workforce
  • Maximise learning opportunities for all staff, provide high quality teaching and training, and remain a centre of excellence for research
  • Make the best use of our resources, improve performance and develop the quality of information and IT systems
  • Develop existing and new partnerships to promote social inclusion for all our service users
  • Seek new business opportunities consistent with our vision.
